The Impossible Dream - Elvis Presley

Possible choral number.
the idea behind this is sort of a science manifesto, ie to seek the truth or experiment, with good scientific method, to debunk/solve/prove x dogma/problem/theory
edit: the current version of the song seems disjointed, but my vision is that different groups of scientists (small groups), sing each part till you get to the end of the second verse where they sing unison.
To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foe
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go

To right the unrightable wrong
To love pure and chaste from afar
To try when your arms are too weary
To reach the unreachable star

This is my quest, to follow that star
No matter how hopeless,
No matter how far
To fight for the right
Without question or pause
To be willing to march, march into hell
For a heavenly cause

And I know if I'll only be true
To this glorious quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm
When I'm laid to my rest

And the world would be better for this
That one man scorned and covered with scars
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
To reach the unreachable star
To prove the illogical proof
To make an clean resource supply
To deal with unreas'nable theory
To find the last digit of pi

To right what is clearly (the evidently) wrong
To learn how to speak [hear] in sonar
To fly to alpha centauri
To change, the current dogma

This is my aim, to know the bizarre
A cure for cancer
And clean fuel for my car
To discern the truth
Through empirical means
To be able to show, show that not all
is what it seems

And I know if i catch the swine flu
Confirmed by bloodtest
That I'll prove the media wrong
And we'll vaccine all the rest

And the world would be better for this
That we all, scorned by scholars and stars
Still tried, 'gainst current opinion
To change, the current dogma

to cure the cancerous worries?
